Seaview apartments.  Design:  Nick Baldry
A development of 10 apartments, 8 with sea views, due for completion in 2021.  Eight of the apartments look directly over the Thames Estuary.  The apartments replace a detached house that previously stood on the site.  Conceptually, the stepping back of the balconies echoes and continues the steps in the land form, from sea and beach, to promenade, to the top of the bank that grows from the rear of the promenade   Design:  Nick

Our client came to us with a site that had planning permission for a development of flats.  Unfortunately the top floor flats could not work in the roof-space, and no Listed Building Consent had been obtained to demolish a boundary building.  We managed to negotiate a new planning permission for a scheme that was superior to that obtained by the original Architects in every respect.   Design:  Nick

Listd Building conversion
Conversion of a Listed former Inn in the centre of Whitstable.  The ground floor was left for final design by the tenants, while we designed the conversion to flats on the upper floors with much needed refurbishment of the building's structure. The original stair was in the centre of the building, so the ground to first floor section had to be moved to one side to make the ground floor commercial space viable.  The project included converting the former stables to the rear into four houses, with a couple of new build houses, detached from the original buildings, to finish the development at the rear.
